“ Got there at the early part of the dinner rush. Even though there was a bit of a line, we were seated within 5-10 minutes. Our server was there promptly, and was there at exactly the right times. We got our food quickly and it was GREAT. I ordered the Quesadilla Fajita, and asked for them to chop in a few fresh jalapenos to spice things up (as I do at pretty much any Mexican place). It came with generous portions of guac and other toppings. Nice big slices of jalapeno too! Delicious. Serve was awesome, people were friendly, would definitely eat there again if I ever return to that part of KS. ”
“ By far the best food I've had in a long time. The Jumbo mango margarita was absolutely delicious and slaps. And them chips and salsa from the go are fire! The 1 person chicken fajita was probably enough for like 3 people. 100% endorse this as I will absolutely be taking this back to make banging breakfast burritos in the morning. “ My wife and I love El Tapatio. It is the most authentic Mexican restaurant around. We have been going there for the last 2 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is delicious, the service is great, and we also like the atmosphere. It can be loud and crowded in there on a weekend night, but during the week it is quiet. They have gotten my order slightly wrong a couple times, but they are always willing to fix it and even when it is wrong, the food is so good that I don't really care too much. The chips and salsa are always good and fresh, the meat is always seasoned and cooked well, the salsa and queso are flavorful with a bit of spice, and the Margaritas are huge. The best part about El Tapatio is the price. My wife and I spent about 50 for what is in the pictures below. Two entrees, an appetizer, a jumbo margarita and a horchata. The portions are also very generously sized. Highly recommend El Tapatio to anyone who wants authentic delicious Mexican food for a very reasonable price. ”
“ Eaten here, Great food, prompt service Nice and clean and deceptive and festive environment to relax and enjoy a good meal. They have alcohol there as well. I don’t drink alcohol so they have a nice unsweetened tea and several other non-alcohol choices. This is not a restaurant you pull up to and impress your friends by the looks of the building, but if you wanna please your friends, take them there to eat. Everything’s good. ”
“ So the first time we came through this was about around lunch time, we noticed this place and decided to go. I can't say that first time was good at all...there was 0 presentation, and the salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. I ordered a burrito and my bf had the molcajete he said it was good but super hooootttt...you'll need to wait like 30min to eat it in this weather or you'll sweat lol. This had to of been a few months ago. I added the pictures from that time in this review. Now to today. I ordered the Tapatio Fajitas and my bf ordered the taquiza. We were satisfied. It was delicious and I recommend ordering those meals. Customer service is good, the salsa tastes as it should no more spaghetti sauce. Music is good and plays at a nice volume. There are a couple of small TVs and a nice size bar. They have an outdoor area too not sure if it existed the last time I was out here. Flies are a bit annoying but I know it's hard to control. I suggest maybe using some of those stinky bags that catch flies outside by the trash and limit opening the back door to the kitchen. I recommend this place. They have changed a lot since the last time. If you came here many moons ago and didn't like it. I suggest trying this place again. They are definitely making changes as long as you make the suggestions. ”
“ The food was absolutely DELICIOUS, even the kids under 10 ate all of their food. Everything down to the salsa and tortilla chips were amazing! Very good customer service, kept the chips and salsa coming while we waited on our food. The food came out quickly, which I initially questioned (quality and all) but they proved me wrong. I cannot wait to come back! Shout out to the individual who recommended this spot! ”
“ First time ever eating at this place, I must say it was a super tasty experience. The staff there is very friendly, the waitress was quick to come and offer service and checked back at very appropriate intervals. And my food was out very quickly during the lunch rush. I had the lunch special which was fajitas. Much different presentation than I'm used to as in all the goodies were sort of stacked on top of each other and not on a sizzling pan, but that doesnt matter to me. Its taste that counts and boy were they good. Got the whole meal for 8. The only thing I would say wasnt as good was the salsa. It had a very interesting taste that I couldnt quite place, almost soft of the aftertaste of ketchup. But I'd still eat it, and the chips were good. I'll be going back for sure. ”
